The objective was to study in detail waste minimisation opportunities present in
the textile washing industry.
A textile washing plant situated in the Ratmalana -Moratuwa area is considered as
a typical example. Water is an essential component for the process. Iron is the key
limiting factor in utilizing available groundwater supply. However, for this plant
water cannot be obtained from the ground due to the presence of iron and it is
sourced externally. |
